ABOUT THE ART
GENERAL INFO
Tod Gunter has been a design professional for over thirty years. Trained as an industrial designer, Tod has four U.S. patents to his credit in product design, and has won awards for his graphic design work. He has been a design consultant to several multi-national companies, including Hasbro, Skis Dynastar, Garmont and Westvaco, and his abstract illustration work has been featured on the cover of the literary journal, New England Review. Tod is currently working as a freelance designer. His design portfolio can be seen at PlaneCreative.com.
A lifelong love of airplanes compelled Tod to create PlaneGrafx, combining his interest in aviation with his talents in illustration. The Corsair was a natural choice for PlaneGrafx's first offering, since it was the F4U that originally captured Tod’s imagination as a young boy.
Tod resides in Stowe, Vermont with his Maine Coon cat, Acadia. His other interests include numerous outdoor sports, nature photography and Patriots football.

The original illustrations on this website are created using an Apple® Macintosh computer. Two applications are used, Adobe® Illustrator, and Adobe® Photoshop. The highlights, shadows and textures are all executed “by eye,” but are rendered in a digital medium.
Each piece of art sold by PlaneGrafx is printed individually on a six-color giclée printer. PlaneGrafx prints are not mass-produced lithographs! Giclée prints offer a range of color and vibrance that cannot be dupilcated using a conventional printing press. Fine art reproductions found in galleries are usually giclée prints.
Please bear in mind that the images presented on this website are shown at screen resolution. The renderings feature a great amount of detail which cannot be appreciated until seen as a print.
Museum-grade conservatory materials are used for every profile. Each gallery-quality print is matted and backed using acid-free stock, to prevent yellowing of the illustration.
Prices do not include shipping. Shipping is calculated during the checkout process. PlaneGrafx accepts payments only through PayPal.
All items sold on this website are shipped insured via USPS Priority Mail. If you need rush delivery, please call or email for rates (contact info is below).
Prints that are damaged in transit will be replaced free of charge, as long as a postal insurance claim can be filed.
